About the Ketet/Abhnit Family

ሰድራ ከተት · KETET · HATIMA · GONDAY · ቤት አብሕኒት

Our recorded story begins with ንጉስ ኣበነር ሰሜ, approximately in the first century, whose line runs through እዃራ/እዃረሩ and ከተት into the 21 Biets of today — from ቤት ኣሙተ and ቤት ኪዳነ to ቤት ማሕሙድ and ቤት ሕመድ. Through migration and time — Keren and Asmara, Sudan in the eighties, then Sweden, Germany, North America, and beyond — the family spread across many countries and three continents.

The branches travelled far. The roots did not move.

This Digital Hub exists so that distance never becomes disconnection: a private home where generations talk daily, learn Blin from our own instructors, preserve photographs and elder interviews before they fade, organize reunions, support one another through family funds, and maintain a living genealogical record in Ukara Ancestry | ሓረግ ወለዶ እዃራ.

The public pages you can browse today — the blog, shop, donations, and events — are the family's open hand to friends and distant relatives. Everything else waits behind the door, for family.
